C/R: Police arrest 4 persons for stealing Agenda 111 Hospital building materials at Awutu Bereku

The Ghana Police Service have arrested four persons for allegedly stealing some building materials procured for the construction of an Agenda 111 Hospital at Awutu Bereku in the Central Region.
The police carried out the arrest in collaboration with some members of the Awutu Bereku community, yesterday, Tuesday, December 10, 2024.
The suspects were arrested following the interception of a Man diesel truck, with registration number GT 8715-Z.
The truck was driven by one of the suspects identified as Kwabena Ayamba, loaded with assorted building materials.
According to police, investigations revealed the suspects were allegedly contracted by the project contractor to transport the items from the Agenda 111 project site to Tema, Greater Accra region.
The suspects are currently in police custody assisting with investigations.
Meanwhile, the police say efforts are underway to get the said contractor arrested to face justice.
