Eurostar CEO under police probe for threatening to kill uniBank Receiver

The Chief Executive Officer of Eurostar Global Limousines, Mr Oscar Yao Doe, has been invited by the police to assist with investigations regarding death threats against Nii Amanor Dodoo, the Receiver of uniBank and four others whose licences were revoked last year by the Bank of Ghana.

The police invitation letter dated 23 August 2019 was addressed to Mr Doe and signed by Deputy Commissioner of Police Edward Tabiri, who is the Head of the Special Investigations Team.

It stated that Mr Doe has defaulted in settling his indebtedness to the defunct bank and a subsequent reminder sent to him by Mr Amanor Dodoo was met with death threats.

According to the police letter, Mr Doe owes the bank GHS101,960.44.

He has been asked to report to the Special Investigations Team of the Ghana Police Service commissioned by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to look into the collapse of the nine indigenous banks.
