Policeman shot dead in broad-daylight bullion van heist

A cop has been shot dead
A police officer has been shot dead by suspected armed robbers who attacked a bullion van on Monday, 14 June 2021 at Korle Bu in Accra.
The deceased officer was seated in the front seat during the heist.
According to eyewitnesses, the robbers followed the bullion van in a taxi and on a motorbike and shot discriminately at the van, killing the police officer in the process.
The driver of the van is said to be receiving treatment at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital while the dead officer's body has been taken to the Police Hospital for preservation and autopsy.
