Wealthy Nigerian arrested in Accra for narcotics possession
A wealthy Nigerian national with multiple properties in Accra has been arrested for allegedly dealing in narcotics.
The suspect was apprehended by a special operations team of the National Investigations Bureau(NIB), which uncovered significant quantities of heroin and cocaine at his residence.
According to authorities, the seized drugs included six bags, each weighing 33.22 kilograms, amounting to a total of 199.32 kilograms.
Additionally, 10 boxes of narcotics, each valued at approximately $12,000, were retrieved from the suspect’s home.
The individual is currently in police custody as investigations continue.
Law enforcement officials have assured the public that they are committed to dismantling drug-related networks and ensuring the safety of communities.
