2020 BECE for private candidates begins Monday
The 2020 Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) for private candidates will commence on Monday, 10 February 2020, the West Africa Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced.
In a statement signed by its Head of Public Affairs, Mrs Agnes Teye-Cudjoe and released on Friday, 7 February 2020, the examination conducting body, said: “Two thousand one hundred and fifty-four (2,154) candidates made up of 1,210 males and 944 females, are expected to take the exam” which is scheduled to end on Friday, 15 February 2020.
It also stated that: “The examination will be administered at eleven centres throughout the country.”
The council also wished all candidates “success in their papers” and called on the invigilators “to be vigilant during the examination.”
