B/R: Sunyani East MP inaugurates 2 classroom projects
The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Sunyani East Constituency in the Bono Region, Mr. Kwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh; the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the area, Mr. Ansu Kumi; the Constituency Chairman, Mr. Bartholomew Nathaniel Incoom, together with other constituency executives of the governing New Patriotic Party, on May 19, 2022, inaugurated a 3-unit classroom project at Abesim SDA Basic School and a 2-unit KG block with 4-seater W/C, a shower, an office, a kitchen, and a reservoir at the Police Basic School.
These projects form part of the numerous classroom projects the MP has championed within his constituency.
Speaking at the brief inaugural ceremonies, the MP underscored the importance of education and his resolve to help enrol all school-going age into schools in the Constituency. MP (m) cutting the tape to inaugurate one of the classroom blocks
“Education is very critical in our modern-day life, in fact, it is the pivot that anchors modern development and so my passion to get the facilities to augment the other factors that make teaching and learning effectively is one that I would continue to pursue the benefit of our Constituency “, he explained.
The MCE, for his part, touched on the need for a vigorous maintenance culture on the projects whilst lauding the many developmental projects the MP has been executing with a promise to continuously hold hands with the MP to ensure complete development of the constituency.
Speaking on behalf of the Police Basic School, the Bono Regional Commander, DCOP Joseph Gyamerah Eklu, said they were elated to have such a facility given how fast the population of the school is growing.
He explained: “When I told the IGP, Dr. Akuffo Dampare of your intention, he couldn’t hide his joy as he extends his appreciation to you with tones of encouragement for you to continue on this path.”
Speaking on the SDA facility, the headmistress of the School also touched on the importance of the facility and she described it as crucial and timely.
