C/R: Sprinter bus knocks down, kills first-year UCC student
The management of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) have announced the death of a level-100 Bachelor of Commerce in Human Resource Management student.
A statement issued by the Director of Public Affairs of the University, Major Kofi Baah-Bentum (Rtd), indicated that 19-year-old Priscilla Owusu Achia was killed by a speeding vehicle at Ayensudo near the UCC Satellite Campus of the Nduom School of Business and Technology.
Ms Achiaa was in the company of her friends on their way to buy some food items when the Sprinter bus, which was overtaking another car, knocked her down.
According to the statement, the incident happened on Saturday, 10 April 2021, and she passed away on Tuesday, 13 April 2021 at about 11:30 AM.
The statement further noted that the family has been informed about the incident.
Meanwhile, the Saltpond police command is investigating the case.
