CMG's Desmond Lamptey nominated for 2020 Nat'l Communications Award
The host of ‘Country on Class’ on Class91.3FM, Mr Desmond Lamptey, has been nominated in the Outstanding Communication and Media Education Personality of the Year category in the 2020 National Communications Awards for his role as a lecturer at the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ).
The event, which is a development communication awards programme, is geared toward championing communications, organisational and national development.
The event is to celebrate and reward excellent communication companies, teams and individuals across the country.
The awards ceremony will be held at the Africa Trade House in Accra on Saturday, 7 November 2020.
Organised by RAD Communications Limited, the National Communication Awards event is expected to serve as a springboard for many who aspire to reach higher heights with their works, efforts and contribution in the media and communication industry in Ghana.
Mr Lamptey hosts Country on Class on Accra-based Class91.3FM weeknights from 7 to 10 pm.
Mr Lamptey teaches journalism and Broadcast News writing at GIJ.
He also holds a Master of Philosophy(MPhil) in Communication and Media and has plans of pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy(PhD)
