E/R: GES, GHS donate PPE to schools in Fantaeakwa South
The Fanteakwa South district education directorate of the Ghana Education Service (GES) in the Eastern region, in collaboration with Ghana Health Service (GHS) has donated personal protective equipment (PPE) to schools in the district.
Some of the items donated, include hand sanitizers, nose masks, liquid soap, Veronica buckets, tissue paper among others.
Also, biscuits and soft drinks were distributed to kindergarten pupils to mark ‘My first day at school’.
At Osino West Circuit, social distancing was poorly observed due to inadequate furniture in the schools.
At the Nsutem primary SDA school, pupils were not observing social distancing. The school was over populated.
One of the class teachers at the Nsutem primary SDA school, Salomey Otenewaa however said the school management has informed the Education office and is waiting for feedback.
Osino JHS Presby Headmaster Mr Emmanuel Agyare Appiah also appealed to government to build new three-unit classroom blocks or they will be left with no option than to teach the students under trees.
