Pope John Senior High School and Minor Seminary (POJOSS) on Saturday marked its 67th Anniversary with a vibrant Speech and Prize-Giving Day and Old Students’ Homecoming at its campus in Effiduase, Eastern Region.

The celebration, themed “POJOSS: The Past, The Present and The Future; We are Building Together,” brought together hundreds of students, proud alumni, parents, and dignitaries in a show of unity, reflection, and forward-looking resolve.

Gracing the occasion as Special Guest of Honour was the Minister for Defence, Dr Edward Omane Boamah, a distinguished alumnus of the school.

Dr. Boamah delivered the keynote address, focusing on leadership, patriotism, and the critical role of education in national development.

Among the many prominent old students in attendance are Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Member of Parliament for Ofoase/Ayirebi and former Minister for Information, and Prof. Titus Beyuo, MP for Lambussie — both of whom have risen to national prominence and serve as inspirations to current students.

The day’s activities include a colourful parade, award presentations to exceptional students and dedicated teachers, and cultural and musical performances that celebrate the rich heritage of the school.

The Pojoba Old Students Association (POSA) also made a strong showing, with members travelling from across Ghana and abroad to reconnect with their alma mater.
