GES to release 2025 SHS placement results today

The Ghana Education Service (GES) is set to release Senior High School (SHS) placements for candidates who sat for this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
The release, scheduled for today, September 17, 2025, follows a one-week verification window granted to candidates to confirm their details on the Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) portal ahead of the announcement.
According to GES, parents and guardians can access placement information at cssps.gov.gh, where they will also be able to resolve any issues that may arise.
Prof. Ernest Davis, Director-General of the GES, explained last month that the verification process was designed to minimise errors in school placements.
“In order to reduce errors associated with school placement, candidates had the opportunity to review the entries they made online,” he said.
To aid accessibility, the Ministry of Education released a two-minute instructional video last week, guiding parents and candidates through the portal.
Users can choose from options such as Choices Confirmation, Check Placement, or Self-Placement, and log in using their BECE index number and date of birth.
Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Education, Dr. Clement Apaak, has cautioned parents and guardians against falling victim to fraudsters.
“Placement is free. Do not pay money to anyone who claims he or she can help you with placement.
Anyone demanding money in exchange for placement is a fraudster and should be reported to the police immediately,” Dr. Apaak stressed.
