NE/R: GNPC completes 6-unit classroom block for Bawku

Pupils of Bawku Municipal Assembly (M.A) Basic School in the East Mamprusi district of the North-East Region can now look forward to an improved educational experience with the completion of a new 6-unit classroom block with ancillary facilities funded by the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC).
The hitherto dilapidated structure served hundreds of children in the community who took lessons on the bare floor due to the absence of furniture and other learning aids.
At a ceremony to hand over the building, the North-East Regional Minister, Yidana Zakaria, expressed the region’s appreciation to the GNPC for its commitment towards the development of the region and the impact recorded in education and capacity building across the country.
He highlighted other intervention projects in the North-East region.
