UNICEF’s transforming education summit begins tomorrow
UNICEF is convening the Transforming Education Summit on 16, 17 and 19 September at the United Nations in New York, in response to a global crisis in education.
UNICEF has identified equity and inclusion, quality and relevance as global crises in education.
“Often slow and unseen, this crisis is having a devastating impact on the futures of children and youth worldwide,” UNICEF said in a statement.
The Summit is expected to provide a unique opportunity to elevate education to the top of the global political agenda and to mobilise action, ambition, solidarity and solutions to recover pandemic-related learning losses and sow the seeds to transform education in a rapidly changing world.
UNICEF works around the world to provide quality learning opportunities that prepare children and adolescents with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive.
