The University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) has concluded Day Five of its orientation programme for undergraduate and diploma fresh students of the Faculty of Information Technology and Communication Studies (FITCS), as well as the Evening and Weekend School, for the 2025/2026 academic year.

The session formed part of a week-long programme designed to introduce new students to university life, academic expectations, and opportunities for personal and professional development.

Addressing the students, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. John Kwaku Mensah Mawutor, urged them to think beyond traditional employment pathways and focus on developing innovative solutions that can address real-world challenges.

He encouraged the fresh students to uphold strong character, embrace entrepreneurship, and cultivate collaborative skills across disciplines to enhance their impact in the workplace and society.

Prof. Mawutor emphasised that success at the university should not only be measured by academic achievement but also by creativity, integrity, and the ability to create value through innovation.

The orientation programme provided students with guidance on academic procedures, campus resources, and career development, while helping them integrate smoothly into the university community.

University officials expressed optimism that the new cohort would take full advantage of the opportunities available to them as they begin their academic journey at UPSA.
