The 1985-year group of Wesley Girls’ Senior High School, Cape Coast, Central Region, has donated education materials to Accra Wesley Girls’ SHS.

The items donated include two filing cabinets, a printer and a photocopier machine.

They are meant to support the school’s administrative work.

A member of the group, Mrs Tena Dadson, told the media in an interview that the support was important because God had done a lot for each of them.

The group members, Mrs Dadson noted, had all hit the 50-year mark in age and been blessed with good health coupled with great camaraderie among themselves.

They, thus, saw it as imperative to show appreciation to God by giving back to society.

"We had a thanksgiving service to appreciate God for His goodness and manifold blessing in our lives. We also agreed that in addition to giving thanks to God, we should also give to a school in need of these equipment," she said.

Mrs Dadson explained that the year group chose Accra Wesley Girls SHS because it needed the items more.

She expressed hope that the 1985-year group would continue to support the school in terms of resources.

Mrs Dadson also appealed to the government to support the school, especially in the area of infrastructure and provide it with a science laboratory.

The headmistress of Accra Wesley Girls’ SHS, Mrs Leticia Bray, who received the materials on behalf of the school, congratulated the 1985-year group for their kind gesture and pledged to take good care of the items.

She prayed for long life and prosperity for all the group members and urged others to emulate their kind gesture.

Mrs Bray took the opportunity to advise the students to take their studies seriously in order to fly high in life.
