A/R: Works on Suame interchange to start August
Works on the Suame interchange project is scheduled to begin in August.
According to the Ashanti Regional Director for the Urban Roads Department, Francis Gambrah, although physical works on the Suame interchange project are yet to begin, the project campsite is almost complete.
This means work could start even before August.
The Ashanti Regional Director for the Urban Roads Department disclosed this on Tuesday, 6 June 2023, when the Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah, visited the project campsite together with some officers.
“This is a design-and-build contract, where the contractor is responsible for both the design and construction of the project. We started the design in February, and it is expected to be completed by August.
“However, we are almost finished. We have submitted the preliminary design, and we are even likely to start physical works by July,” Mr Gambrah noted.
The Project Manager at Rango Construction, Mohammed Omar Fazzani, was positive that work will kick off on the project once the designs are ready.
