Accra FM supports ‘Burkina’ flood-affected victims in Pru East

Over the weekend, the management of Accra 100.5 FM, under the umbrella of Class Media Group (CMG), extended its magnanimity to numerous residents in the 'Burkina' area along the Volta Lake in the Pru East district of the Bono East Region.
Accra FM, represented by its correspondent Twum Barimah, offered assistance to the flood-affected victims by providing sachet water.
Mr Twum Barimah, Accra FM's regional correspondent, shared the account of the residents' ordeal on the Ghana Yensom Morning Show hosted by Odehyeeba Kofi Essuman.
Barimah explained that the displacement of the residents was a consequence of the spillage of the Bagre Dam in neighbouring Burkina Faso.
According to him, the rising levels of the Volta Lake left the affected community without access to potable water.
He noted that the scarcity of water in the area intensified because residents were unable to reach parts of the lake to fetch untreated water for their consumption.
Expressing gratitude for Accra FM's timely support, Mr Barimah highlighted that the residents were appreciative of the provision of water during their challenging circumstances.
Accra FM's initiative aimed to alleviate the difficulties of people affected by such unfortunate circumstances championed by the Founder of CMG, Alhaji Seidu Agongo.
