Asante youth reject Dag's disrespectful, contradictory apology to Otumfuo; threaten to shut down LCI churches

The Kumasi Youth Association (KuYA) has said the "contradictory apology letter" by the founder and leader of the Lighthouse Chapel International is a disrespect to Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
The group said the apology by Bishop Dag Heward-Mills cannot be accepted and insisted he come personally to the Manhyia Palace to render a proper one within 48 hours.
They have threatened to close down all his churches dotted across the land of Asantehene from the Ashanti region to part of Cote D'Ivoire if he fails to seek "wise counsel".
Speaking an interview with Class News' regional correspondent Elisha Adarkwah on the sidelines of their press conference today, Monday, 21 June 2021, Secretary to the group, Kwabena Frimpong said in the apology letter, the preacher said the sermon was made 20 years ago.
But in the said viral video in which he was speaking against the Asante monarch, the man of God said Asantehene has been celebrating five and ten years anniversaries.
Mr Frimpong noted that Asantehene has only been on the throne for 22 years, which indicates that the apology letter by Bishop Dag Heward-Mills was contradictory when critically examined.
He said they have been able to identify about 76 of his church branches situated on Asantehene's land and if he fails to do the needful, they will close all of them down.
