CEM to host 'Intercedere Conference'
The theme for the conference is “The Effectual Intercessor”, based on James 5:16b. This event promises to bring together Intercessors, Ministers of the Gospel and other members of the Christian faith across the nation, for an empowerment workshop on how to pray and intercede effectively.
The conference begins on Thursday, 30th to Friday, 31st, May 2019, at the Rehoboth Temple, CEM, North-Legon, Accra near Wisconsin University. Morning sessions will be from 9:00am - 12:00noon, Afternoon sessions - 1:00pm - 3:00pm Evening sessions will take place from 6:30pm - 9:00pm.
Commenting on the upcoming conference, the Head of the Intercessory Ministry at CEM, Rev. Charles Afile said, “We are in the era of prayer and if Christians do not rise up and pray, they will not realise the end-time blessings of God”. Rev. Afile bemoaned the fact that the number of prayer meetings have recently increased and yet the results of these meetings are not comparable to what pertained in the days of the Apostles. Many prefer only to receive prophecies, which without prayer will not come to pass.
"A closer walk with God and a fruitful relationship with Him are dependent on an effective prayer life. The goal of the Inter-Cedere Conference is to empower the body of Christ in prayer and intercession” Rev. Afile added.
Speakers for the conference are: Rev. J.F.K Mensah (Great Commission Church, Accra), Rev. Stanley Mensah (Deputy Gen. Overseer, CEM) and the host is Rev. Steve Mensah (General Overseer, CEM).
