COVID-19: Italian returnee quarantined at Damongo tests negative
Ghanaian returnee from Italy, Adam Alhassan who was quarantined at the West Gonja Hospital following a suspected case of COVID-19 has tested negative.
This was disclosed by the Savannah Regional Directorate on Sunday, 22 March 2020.
The West Gonja Municipal Health directorate in collaboration with the West Gonja Hospital quarantined the Ghanaian returnee from Italy after he displayed some symptoms of COVID-19.
The 35-year-old returnee was quarantined on Friday, 20 March 2020 at the West Gonja hospital upon his arrival from Italy recently.
His blood sample was taken for testing for COVID-19 at the Komfo Anokye Teaching hospital.
He has since been discharged from the hospital.
