Court discharges 4 more Democracy Hub protesters, total reaches 11
The Accra Circuit Court has discharged four additional protesters from the Democracy Hub following the state’s withdrawal of charges against them.
The state prosecution team informed the court that they had filed new charges to replace the initial ones brought against the protesters on Wednesday, 25 September 2025.
The individuals discharged are Cedric Bansah, Emmanuel Offei, Nana Amo Mensah Prempeh, and Thomas Yeboah.
This latest development brings the total number of discharged protesters to 11, as the court continues to process cases related to the Democracy Hub demonstrations.
A total of 53 protesters were arrested during the three-day protest, which took place from Saturday, 21 to Monday, 23 September 2024.
Prior to this, seven protesters were released in a similar decision on Tuesday,22 October 2024.
