E/R: Monday’s rainfall devastating – NADMO
The Eastern Regional Director of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Mr Kwame Appiah Koduah has described the violent rains that fell on Monday, 25 November 2019 as devastating.
Five persons were injured in the 20-minute severe storm on the Somanya-Kpong Highway and rushed to the Somanya Polyclinic.
Both domestic and commercial buildings in the area were also affected by the downpour.
Confirming the incident, Mr Koduah said injured people have been treated and discharged.
He described the injuries as minor, adding that they were still assessing the extent of the destruction.
