E/R: Six perish in accident near Kpong

There has been an accident around the King David Commercial College near Kpong in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality of the Eastern Region.
The accident occurred on Saturday, 25 March 2023.
A hyundai vehicle with registration number GB 4644-20 heading to Tema from Juapong, is reported to have run into a moving articulator truck with registration number GT 6473-21 loaded with pavement blocks which was heading towards Akosombo from Tema.
The driver of the hyundai vehicle in an attempt to swerve a sky boss bus which had been parked at that particular spot for nearly two weeks run into the truck.
Six persons were confirmed dead while two were injured.
Personnel from the Akuse Police Command and the Ghana National Fire Service were at the scene of the accident to rescue victims.
The bodies of the deceased have since been deposited at the morgue while the 2 injured are currently receiving treatment at the Akuse government hospital.
