EC receives vote transfer requests Oct. 25
The Electoral Commission has said that applications for vote transfers and proxy-voting will be received at its district offices throughout the country from Friday, 25 October to Monday 4 November 2019.
A statement signed by Mrs Jean Mensa, EC Chair, on Monday, 14 October 2019, said: “Between 25 October and 4 November 2019, all security personnel who previously registered in the district where they reside, should contact the district offices in their respective districts for transfer of their votes to enable them vote in the special voting exercise on 10 December ahead of the 2019 referendum”.
“The general public is hereby informed that the period for the application for transfer of votes, special voting and proxy is between 25th October to 4th November 2019”.
The EC also informed the public that “voters who transferred their votes to enable them vote in the 2018 referenda will be required to go through the process of transferring their votes again as the 2018 transfer were temporary.”
