A candlelight vigil has been announced for the victims of the East Legon car and fire accident.
Maame Dwomoh Boaten and Justine Agbenu died on Saturday, October 12, 2024.
At the Mensah Wood Avenue T-junction, East Legon, Accra, a Jaguar vehicle on top speed ran into their Acura vehicle, with them sitting at the back seat.
Both vehicles eventually caught fire after running into an electric pole upon collision.
Tragically, the 12-year-olds could not escape as two of their co-passengers and their driver had. They were burned beyond recognition.
According to a police report, the startling accident was caused by an unlicensed 16-year-old driving the Jaguar vehicle.
A candlelight vigil for teenagers Maame Dwomoh Boaten and Justine Agbenu will be held tomorrow, Friday, October 18, at 5 PM.
The venue is the very spot where they lost their lives.
