Eid al-Fitr: April 11th declared statutory holiday

The government has officially declared Thursday, April 11th, 2024, as a public holiday in observance of Eid al-Fitr. The announcement was made through a statement signed by the Interior Minister, Henry Quartey.
The statement emphasized that Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of the month-long dawn-to-sunset fasting of Ramadan, is a statutory public holiday to be observed throughout the country.
Eid al-Fitr holds significant cultural and religious importance for Muslims worldwide, symbolizing the conclusion of Ramadan and the celebration of spiritual renewal and community.
