End attacks on security personnel – Kan-Dapaah to Ghanaians

The National Security Minister Albert Kan-Dapaah has called on Ghanaians to cease all attacks on the nation’s security personnel emphasising their vital role in maintaining peace and safety.
Addressing traditional leaders in the Northern Region, Mr. Kan-Dapaah highlighted the urgent need to support rather than undermine those who protect the country.
"The practice of Ghanaians attacking men and women in uniform should stop immediately," Mr. Kan-Dapaah declared, stressing that security personnel require full backing to perform their duties effectively.
He elaborated on the critical services provided by security forces, urging the public to recognize and appreciate their contributions.
“This is the time Ghanaians must learn to appreciate and support the work of the security agencies, the soldiers, the police, the immigration officers, the prison officers, and all the institutions that are involved in providing security," he said.
He continued that: “They are the people who have made it possible for us to feel secure. Going forward, they are the people who provide the necessary services for us to feel secure.
“It shouldn’t happen that whatever the provocation, you should attack a police officer or a soldier or an immigration officer or an intelligence officer.”
