Fire guts Sakumono School Complex
Parts of the Sakumono School Complex in the Tema Metropolis of the Greater Accra Region have been razed by fire on Thursday, 19 November 2020.
The fire began in the morning.
The cause is unknown.
An eyewitness narrated that they realised all of a sudden that the middle part of the school was on fire.
“So, I decided to call the Fire Service,” the eyewitness told journalists.
Personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service have been on the scene fighting the blaze.
The incident comes a day after fire razed the Odawna market near the Kwame Nkrumah Interchange in Accra again.
The fire started at around 1 am on Wednesday, 18 November 2020.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo who visited the victims of the Odawna market fire indicated that they will be beneficiaries of support from the National Board of Small-Scale Industries (NBSSI) within two weeks.
