Fire guts cargo truck loaded with eggs on Accra-Nsawam road
A cargo truck loaded with eggs on Thursday, 12 May 2022, caught fire near the Ofankor barrier on the Accra-Nsawam road causing traffic on that stretch.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) disclosed this in a Facebook post following the incident.
“The unfortunate fire incident has resulted in heavy vehicular traffic on the main and outer roads leading to Nsawam".
“Commuters and vehicles locked up on the affected stretch of the main and outer roads are implored to exercise patience as Firefighters work assiduously to bring the situation under control,” the GNFS said.
Firefighters from Amasaman and Circle were on the scene to put the fire under control.
