GA/R: Roads Minister inspects works on Nungua-Barrier tier 3 interchange
The Minister of Roads and Highways, Mr Kwesi Amoako-Attah, has inspected ongoing construction works on the Nungua-Barrier tier 3 interchange in the Krowor Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.
Mr Amoako-Atta was on Wednesday, 13 April 2022, joined by Mr Joshua Nii Bortey, Municipal Chief Executive for Krowor Municipal Assembly, to inspect the progress of construction works on the interchange and the construction of the dual-carriage highway from the Nungua-Barrier area to the Independence Square area in the Klottey Klorley Constituency, which also leads the to the Tema metropolis, all in the Greater Accra region.
The minister, who is also the New Patriotic Party’s Member of Parliament for Atiwa West Constituency in the Eastern Region, directed the contractor to demolish all illegal structures in the way of the project for its smooth completion.
He pledged the ministry’s support for any of such actions, as part of measures for the smooth completion of the project.
Mr Amoako-Attah commended the contractor for beating the deadline.
Earlier, the minister visited the Community 3 Harbour Extension Road Project and the Ashaiman-Sakumono Traffic Light road.
For his part, the Krowor MCE thanked President Akufo-Addo for the project.
He expressed the Assembly’s appreciation to the president for the measures put in place to help ease the traffic situation and beautify the municipality.
