Ghana remain friends of all; enemies of none - Foreign Affairs nominee declares

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the nominee for the Foreign Affairs Ministry, has reaffirmed Ghana's commitment to remaining neutral and maintaining diplomatic relations with all nations.
Speaking on Friday, January 31, during his vetting before the Appointments Committee, he declared that Ghana will continue to be a country that is “friends of all, enemies of none.”
Mr Ablakwa emphasised the importance of maintaining a balanced foreign policy that does not alienate any nation, regardless of political or ideological differences.
“Ghana remains friends of all and enemies of none,” he stated, underscoring the country’s tradition of diplomacy and peaceful coexistence with the international community.
The nominee’s comments reflect his commitment to upholding Ghana’s reputation as a peaceful and neutral nation in the global arena.
He further expressed that under his leadership, Ghana’s foreign policy would prioritise dialogue, cooperation, and mutual respect in all international relations.
Ablakwa’s vision for the Foreign Ministry seeks to ensure that Ghana plays an active role in global diplomacy while preserving its longstanding policy of neutrality and friendship with all nations, irrespective of their political standing.
This approach, he noted, is fundamental to Ghana's international standing and regional leadership
