Health Minister inaugurates GAQHI governing board
The Minister of Health, Mr Kwaku Agyeman-Manu, has inaugurated a 16-member governing board of the Ghana Association of Quasi-Government Health Institutions (GAQHI).
The board has been tasked with instituting measures to collaborate with the MoH to see how best they can collect data to come out with a more efficient health database index.
The board is chaired by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Cocoa Board, Mr Joseph Boahen Aidoo.
The members include Director-General of the Ghana Ports and Harbour Michael Lugui; Medical Director of the Bank Hospital, Dr Charlotte Osafo; Managing Director of the Ghana Post Company Limited, Bice Osei Kuffuor; Registrar of the University of Ghana, Emelia Agyei-Mensah and Director-General of the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission, Prof. Samuel Dampare.
The others are a representative of the MoH, Dr Martha Gyansa-Lutterodt, Vice-Chancellor of the Takoradi Technical University Prof. John Frank Eshu; the Commander of the 37 Military Hospital, Brigadier General Nii Adjah Obodai and Medical Director of the Police Hospital, COP Dr Ebenezer Ewusi Emim among others.
Dr Agyeman-Manu commended the GAQHI for partnering with the MoH to improve the country’s healthcare delivery system.
