Kojo Yankah commends Finance Minister for inspiring budget presentation

Dr Casiel Ato Forson

Founder of the Pan-African Heritage Museum, Mr. Kojo Yankah, has praised Ghana’s Minister for Finance, Mr. Cassiel Ato Forson, for what he describes as an exceptional delivery of the 2026 Budget Statement.

In a public statement, Mr. Yankah, a former Minister of Information, noted that while ministers typically work as part of a broader government team—especially when presenting statements on behalf of the President and the administration—he felt compelled to single out Dr. Ato Forson for commendation.

Having witnessed numerous budget presentations since Ghana’s Independence, Mr. Yankah said the Minister’s performance stood out for its humility, confidence, and inspiration.

He highlighted not only the clarity of the figures and statistics presented but also Dr. Forson’s calm and reassuring demeanour, which, in his view, strengthened public confidence in the government’s performance over the last 10 months.

Mr. Yankah emphasised that “praise where praise is due,” adding that the presentation offered credible insights into the nation’s economic progress and reinforced trust in the government’s fiscal direction.

His commendation adds to the growing reactions following the budget’s presentation, with stakeholders across various sectors continuing to share their assessments of the government’s economic outlook and policy priorities.
