The Accra High Court hearing the trial of 14 suspects connected with the murder of the late Major Maxwell Adam Mahama will be resuming on 19 November 2020. 

The court was expected to resume the trial today, Thursday, 29 October 2020 but had to be adjourned.

The trial has been on hold since 29 February 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 14 suspects are being tried at an Accra High Court for their alleged roles in the lynching of Major Mahama, who was an officer of the 5th Infantry Battalion at Burma Camp.

The late Major was on duty at Denkyira-Obuasi in the Central Region when he was mistaken to be a thief and lynched by an angry mob on 29 May 2017.

The 14 accused persons are William Baah, the Assemblymember of Denkyira Obuasi, Bernard Asamoah alias Daddy, Kofi Nyame a.k.a Abortion, Akwasi Boah, Kwame Tuffour, Joseph Appiah Kubi, Michael Anim, and Bismarck Donkor.

The rest are: John Bosie, Akwasi Baah, Charles Kwaning, Emmanuel Badu, Bismarck Abanga and Kwadwo.
