O/R: Dumelo F'dn distributes farm tools to SALL women
The John Dumelo Foundation has distributed farm tools to some women in the Santrokofi, Akpafu, Likpe, and Lololobi (SALL) traditional area.
The distribution of the farm tools follows the 7th celebration of the National Farmers Day on Friday, 3 December 2021.
The gesture is aimed at rewarding the efforts of women of the area for their contribution to farming.
The tools distributed by the foundation include cutlasses and wellington boots.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, 8 December 2021, Mr Dumelo, who was the opposition National Democratic Congress’ parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency in the 2020 elections, wrote: “The people of SALL were left out of the Farmers day celebrations last week. The John Dumelo Foundation decided to reward several women across the Guan district with some farming tools.”
He added: “Hopefully next year we will do it bigger and better. God bless farmers.”
This year’s National Farmers Day was celebrated in Cape Coast in the Central Region.
