Otumfuo visits UN Secretary-General
Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu on Thursday, 12 September 2019 paid a courtesy call on the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres at UN Headquarters in New York.
The Asante monarch is scheduled to deliver the keynote address marking the 20th-anniversary of the UN General Assembly Resolution 53/243 on the Declaration and Programme of Action on Culture for Peace.
The traditional leader and the UN Secretary-General expressed profound admiration for each other on efforts towards the building and maintenance of global peace and security.
