PAOG announces Feb 16 deadline for 2026 Hajj passport submission
The Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana (PAOG) has set Monday, February 16, 2026, as the final deadline for the submission of passports for all fully paid prospective pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj.
In a statement issued on Thursday and addressed to all media houses, PAOG said the directive requires applicants to submit their Ghanaian passports to its Secretariat at the Hajj Village, Kotoka International Airport, for onward processing to the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for visa issuance.
According to the office, the deadline applies to all prospective pilgrims who have completed payment for this year’s pilgrimage. This includes those who paid directly to PAOG, those who paid through agents, and individuals being processed under special arrangements.
PAOG cautioned that failure to comply with the directive within the stipulated timeframe will automatically disqualify applicants from participating in the 2026 Hajj.
The office explained that the February 16 deadline was communicated by Saudi authorities and must be strictly adhered to due to a fast-tracked visa processing schedule.
To assist applicants who may need urgent passport services, PAOG revealed it is working in collaboration with the Passport Office to facilitate expedited processing to ensure that all eligible pilgrims meet the deadline.
The statement stressed that the directive applies to all fully paid pilgrims without exception and urged prospective applicants to act swiftly to avoid any inconvenience.
While acknowledging the short notice, PAOG appealed for the cooperation of all stakeholders to ensure a smooth and timely visa submission process.PAOG Announces February 16 Deadline for 2026 Hajj Passport Submission.
