Police locks up Fantasy Dome, probes COVID-19 protocol breach at Christ Embassy’s ‘Pneumatica Night’
The police is investigating a gathering at the Fantasy Dome by the Christ Embassy Church at the Trade Fair Centre, Accra, on Friday, 30 April 2021 at which COVID-19 protocols were allegedly disregarded.
Trending videos of the alleged gathering, dubbed “Pneumatic Night”, show a non-mask-wearing mass crowd, screaming, chanting and dancing to the “evangelism” of non-mask-wearing leaders.
According to the police, the event puts the entire country at a high risk of COVID-19 spread.
The police, in a statement, said it did not provide security for the said event and warns that those who breached the law will face consequences.
The police has also locked up the dome following the event.
