UE/R: No man can ride with another man on a motorbike in Bawku
The Upper East Regional Coordinating Council has, with immediate effect, banned pillion riding in the Bawku municipality and its environs.
This means no male motorbike rider can pick another male on the same bike.
The ban, however, does not include female riders picking fellow females on the same motorbike.
The ban does not also allow female riders to pick males on the same motorbike.
The measure, according to the Regional Security Council, is to address the security situation in Bawku and its environs.
