UE/R: Torrential rains flatten 1,380 homes, kill 29
The death toll in the torrential rain disaster in the Upper East Region has risen to 29.
So far, 1,384 earthen houses have been totally flattened by the rains and associated floods.
Some 2,658 others have also suffered serious damage from the torrents.
Also, 19 people are confirmed to have sustained injuries.
Meanwhile, the Meteo Agency has warned of more rains to come and urged the locals to take precautionary measures.
