UW/R: Armed men attack deputy minister with machete; sustains injuries
Deputy Upper West Regional Minister, Amidu Issahaku Chinnia, was, on Thursday, 21 May 2020 attacked by some unknown armed men.
The incident occurred around his residence.
The attackers, who were on a motorbike, inflicted machete wounds on the deputy minister.
According the Upper West Regional Police command, Mr Chinnia was rescued by police motorbike patrol officers and sent to the hospital.
The attackers, however, escaped.
The police has commenced investigations into the matter.
