W/R: NIA team meets Dep. Reg. Minister
The Executive Secretary of the National Identification Authority (NIA), Prof Kenneth Agyemang Attafuah, on Monday, 6 January 2020 held a meeting with the Deputy Western Regional Minister, Gifty Kissi, to inform her of the forthcoming Ghana card registration exercise which is scheduled to begin soon in the region.
The meeting, which was held at the offices of the Regional Coordinating Council in Sekondi, was also attended by the Municipal Chief Executives (MCEs) from the Western and Western North Region.
The mass registration for the Ghana Card is currently ongoing in the Ashanti Region.
The NIA extended the exercise in the Ashanti Region from 10 – 16 January 2020.
A statement issued by the NIA signed by its Head of Corporate Affairs, Mr Francis Palmdeti, explained that the extension will make up for the two registration days (27 ad 28 December 2019) on which the staff could not work due to the Yuletide.
