Weija-Gbawe MP fellowships with churches on Good Friday

Member of Parliament for Weija-Gbawe in the Greater Accra Region and Second Deputy Minority Chief Whip, Jerry Ahmed Shaib, joined congregants of three churches within his constituency to mark this year’s Good Friday service.
As part of the Easter observance, the MP worshipped with members of the Apostolic Church–Gbawe, the Church of Pentecost–McCarthy District, and the Topbase District.
The visit formed part of his continued engagement with faith-based institutions and his commitment to fostering unity within the community.
Reflecting on the significance of the day, Mr Shaib described the experience as a moment of deep spiritual reflection and a powerful reminder of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
He highlighted the values of love, unity, and compassion as core principles that should guide both personal and national life.
“I am truly grateful for the warm welcome and the spirit-filled fellowship shared,” he said, emphasising the important role churches play in promoting peace and moral guidance in society.
The MP used the occasion to extend Easter greetings to the Christian community and reaffirmed his dedication to working with religious leaders to promote development and cohesion in the Weija-Gbawe Constituency.
