3 more COVID-19 deaths take Ghana’s toll to 148 as load hits 27,667

So far, 148 people have died of the virus in Ghana

Ghana has recorded 607 new COVID-19 cases taking the total national caseload to 27,667, according to the latest figures from the Ghana Health Service.

The new confirmed cases were from samples taken between 22 June and 15 July 2020.

Also, three more patients have died of the disease, taking the death toll to 148.

The active cases are 4,270.

PREVENTIVE MEASURES FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC

Stay at home, observe social-distancing, avoid handshaking.

Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, throw the tissue into a closed bin, and then wash your hands.

Always wear a mask, particularly when leaving home.

Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects or surfaces such as remote controls and doorknobs.

Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

Call the designated health line(s) in your district for necessary assistance or support if you develop fever, cough, or difficulty breathing.
