A/R: 1,000s attend CMG's 'Kumasi Stretch' to keep fit
Kumasi Stretch, a health walk organised by Kumasi 104.1 FM and Adehye 99.1 FM, both subsidiaries of the Class Media Group (CMG) based in the Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi, was massively patronised by participants on Saturday, 7 December 2019.
The walk started from the premises of Kumasi FM and Adehye FM at Atinka Junction, through some principal streets of Kumasi and finally ended at the Kumasi City Mall at Asokwa.
Political parties, keep fit clubs, corporate organisations, churches and various groups attended the event.
In attendance were the Member of Parliament (MP) for Nhyiaeso, Kennedy Kankam; the leader and national Chairman of the United Front Party (UFP), Dr Nana Agyenim Boateng, popularly called Gyataba; a senior lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Dr Emmanuel Amankwah; MP for Oforikrom, Emmanuel Marfo and others.
The participants were taken through aerobics, vigorous dance moves and other activities aimed at improving blood circulation, building of muscles and strengthening of the body in a bid to improve fitness.
The General Manager of Kumasi FM and Adehye FM, Mr Paul K. Fobi, said more of such programmes will be organised for their audience.
He expressed gratitude to the participants for the huge turnout.
Some of the participants commended Kumasi FM and Adehye FM and its management for the programme and appealed for more of such activities.
