Businessman Abboah-Offei eyes Dan Botwe's Okere seat
A young businessman is lacing his boots to run for the Okere seat in the December 2020 general elections.
Augustus Bekoe Abboah-Offei, a building technologist, believes the time is up for the youth to serve the nation by providing the youth with inspiration, support and development to enhance their social and economic lives.
Mr Abboah-Offei is likely to contest as an independent candidate and battle the incumbent Dan Botwe, should the latter win the governing New Patriotic Party’s parliamentary primaries.
“The youth of Okere want me to contest for the seat and bring development to the people. My track record as a businessman can attest to the fact that I can engineer development in the constituency. I have, therefore, decided to contest in the December elections. Hopefully, I can empower them to start their own businesses and enhance their livelihood'”, he told the media.
“Okere hasn’t seen much development and I’m ready to effect a big change by implementing some entrepreneurial skills and innovations that will put smiles on the faces of the many electorate, particularly the youth and young adults”, Mr Abboah-Offei emphasised.
He has already been visiting the constituency to fraternise with the people and discussing the way forward for the constituency.
The former student of Adisadel College, Takoradi Polytechnic and GIMPA said he would leverage his business connections both at home and abroad to execute his campaign to win the Okere seat.
