CBG inaugurates state-of-the-art laboratory at Larteh Health Centre

Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG) Limited has officially inaugurated a state-of-the-art laboratory at the Larteh Health Centre in the Eastern Region, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative aimed at enhancing the well-being of the Larteh community.
Speaking at the inauguration, the Managing Director of CBG, Daniel Wilson Addo, highlighted the bank’s commitment to community development and sustainability.
"Our CSR initiatives focus on health, community development, and education," Addo stated.
"By aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we address crucial areas that promote progress and well-being."
The new laboratory addresses a critical healthcare gap in the community.
Previously, patients had to travel to Mampong for laboratory tests, incurring inconvenience and additional costs.
The new facility will now provide timely and accurate medical care locally, eliminating the need for long-distance travel.
Regina Akweley Klutse, Deputy Director of Nursing and Midwifery Services at the Akuapim North Health Directorate, expressed gratitude for the donation, noting its importance in improving healthcare delivery. “Larteh Health Centre now leads in having a laboratory facility among our four health centres in the municipality,” she said.
“This intervention, along with the necessary equipment, will significantly enhance the services provided at the Health Centre.”
Madam Klutse also appealed for further support, requesting the addition of a theatre and residential accommodation for staff to enhance the health services offered.
The chiefs and residents of Larteh extended their thanks to CBG for its commitment to advancing healthcare in their community.
CBG, wholly owned by the Government of Ghana, operates as a universal bank with 114 branches across 13 regions. The bank enjoys strong government backing, a large network of SME clients, and a diverse talent pool.
