COVID-19: 10 inmates of Ashaiman police station test positive
Ten inmates of the cells of the Ashaiman police station in the Greater Accra Region, have tested positive for VOCID-19.
They were among some 54 inmates whose samples were taken for testing.
The 10 have been isolated.
The random tests were conducted some two weeks ago.
Meanwhile, the number of COVID-19 cases in Ghana has risen to 5,408, the Ghana Health Service has reported.
It also said the number of recoveries has increased to 514 while the death toll has also risen to 24.
Regional Breakdown
The Greater Accra Region tops the list of regions with 4,147 cases followed by the Ashanti and Central Regions with 726 and 192 cases, respectively.
