COVID-19: Despite donates USD100,000 to fight virus
Ghanaian businessman and owner of Despite Group of Companies, Mr Osei Kwame Despite has donated USD 100,000 to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) to help fight COVID-19.
He made the donation on Friday, 27 March 2020.
The businessman made the donation together with Dr Ernest Ofori of the Despite Group, to enable the KATH administrators acquire the requisite medication and tools to combat the deadly virus.
Ghana has so far recorded 136 COVID-19 cases, 3 deaths and 1 recovery.
The government has also banned public gatherings as part of measures to prevent further spread of the deadly virus.
