COVID-19: Police hospital lab, OPD other facilities to be shut down for fumigation Friday
As part of measures of the Ghana Health Service to fumigate and disinfect all health facilities in the country in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, the Ghana Police Hospital will embark on a fumigation exercise of the medical facility from Friday, 26 March 2021.
To this end, the laboratory, pathology, Out-Patients’ Department (OPD), administration, Pediatrics, pharmacy, dental, radiology, medical records and quartermaster stores will be closed down for the fumigation exercise effective Friday, 26 March to Saturday 27 March 2021.
These medical facilities will be opened for resumption of duty on Sunday, March 28.
Special consulting rooms, theatres, wards, catering, medical stores and annex block will be shut down from Friday, April 2 to Saturday, April 3.
These departments will resume activities on Sunday, April 4.
The hospital in a press statement said arrangements have been made for the provision of emergency services at the Specialist block from Friday, 26 March.
